We go into more detail about nonstick cookware in other articles, but here's a broad overview. You can read more detailed reviews about our recommendations below. GreenPan often has sales going, but compare prices carefully because even at a sale price you may end up paying more than on Amazon (or elsewhere).Īn asterisk by the pan name indicates our recommendation. We only list skillet prices here, as those are the pieces we recommend buying. If you're interested in a set, you can easily see prices by clicking over to Amazon or GreenPan. Our star rating is based on our own research and testing and is independent of Amazon ratings (although they had an influence in our decisions). If you want a reinforced coating, we recommend the Padova line for its great price and stainless steel handle. Most pans with reinforced coatings are more expensive, and the jury is still out on whether they give the cookware a longer life. In the table under "Features," we list the type of Thermolon™ the line has. The newer ones are reinforced with diamond dust or other minerals to make the nonstick coating more durable. There are different formulations of Thermolon™. Note that the Hudson line of sauce pans does not have lids, and as far as we know, GreenPan does not sell lids for sauce pans separately. Most skillets do not come with a lid (though some do), but you can buy them separately. Handle design also differs, as does color. Most of the pans are anodized aluminum, a few are clad stainless tri-ply ( Venice and Venice Pro), and their least expensive line ( Rio) is just aluminum (not anodized). GreenPan makes several lines of cookware.
